As the town is surrounded by vineyards, you can’t call yourself a true resident until you take advantage of at least one of the nearby wineries. Start at the Kreutz Creek Vineyards tasting room and make your way along the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail. Longwood Gardens is among the region’s most popular spots as well.
For those looking for some unique storefronts, there’s plenty of shopping therapy at the downtown mall, which offers more than 60 boutiques and unique clothing departments. On the weekends, families enjoy taking a ride on the West Chester Railroad each Sunday at noon.
