Moving with Kids
Moving with kids is a very different process from a single adult or a childless couple moving to a new home. There are different considerations: The size of the house is generally bigger, with more bedrooms, and the quality and location of neighborhood schools is also a major consideration. Having a family to consider has other effects on the moving process, such as affecting how quickly you have to sell your home or what time of year you move.
We’ve developed an infographic that breaks down the statistics of moving with children versus moving without children, and how that affects everything from the price and size of the home to the many other factors that go into the home-buying decision.
But we also provide information beyond the stats. Moving can be a stressful process for kids as well as adults! They are leaving a familiar home, their school and their friends, and they might not know what to expect in their new home and town. Our infographic includes some good suggestions for easing the transition as your family moves to a new hometown. Happy moving!
