CHICAGO, November 26, 2024 – The North American Van Lines agent network collected over 100,000 meals for those facing hunger during its fourth annual Great North American Food Drive. Through its long-standing partnership with Move For Hunger, the collected food is donated to local food banks, providing meals for families and individuals in need. This year’s drive exceeded levels of donations collected in its previous 3 food drives.
“Since it’s inception in 2021, the Great North American Food Drive has collected over 250,000 meals for families and individuals in need with support from our partner Move For Hunger,” says Kevin Murphy, Vice President and General Manager of North American Van Lines. “Thanks to the dedication of our North American agents throughout the United States and Canada, North American collects food donations throughout the year to support their local food banks. ”
More than 47 million Americans face food insecurity every day, and the number of those in need has been steadily rising. Since 2011, North American agents have donated over 1.3 million pounds of non-perishable food items, the equivalent of nearly 1 million meals, to food banks across North America through its partnership with Move For Hunger. The donations collected during the Great North American Food Drive and throughout the year are vital to ensuring that families and individuals in need, have access to meals this Thanksgiving and beyond.
Thank you to the following Great North American Food Drive agent participants.
