Helping Staff Sergeant Schiefer and family settle into new Gary Sinise Foundation smart home.
January signifies the start of a new year. It’s an opportunity for most people to start fresh – be it with resolutions or making changes of some kind. For Gary Sinise Foundation R.I.S.E. recipient the Schiefer family, their new year is starting off with a brand new smart home!
The R.I.S.E. (Restoring Independence, Supporting Empowerment) program builds specially adapted smart homes for our country’s most severely wounded heroes, providing them and their families with a “forever” home built to accommodate each heroes’ unique needs. Since its inception in 2011, the Gary Sinise Foundation has helped hundreds of thousands of veterans and their families through a myriad of programs, including completing 76 smart homes through the R.I.S.E. program.
After the excitement of the home dedication last Thursday, northAmerican agent Lambert Transfer and Storage had the honor of helping the Schiefer family settle into their forever home by recently moving in the family’s personal items. Staff Sergeant Schiefer is the first R.I.S.E. smart home recipient of 2022. As the official moving partner of the Gary Sinise Foundation, the northAmerican team of agents, drivers, crews and office support staff has been proudly transporting and delivering furnishings and personal belongings for R.I.S.E. recipients since 2014. We’re glad to have been able to help out Staff Sergeant Schiefer and his family and will be ready to help more deserving heroes move into their forever homes in 2022 and beyond. Congratulations on your new home, Schiefer family! For more information on Staff Sergeant Schiefer, click here. To learn more about the Gary Sinise Foundation and R.I.S.E. program, click here.
